The University of Manchester hosts the editorial bases of three Cochrane Review Groups.
Cochrane Bone, Joint and Muscle Trauma
Hosted by the University’s Division of Musculoskeletal and Dermatological Sciences.

Cochrane Oral Health
Hosted by the University’s Division of Dentistry.
Co-ordinating editors: Jan Clarkson and Helen Worthington.

Cochrane Wounds
Hosted by the University’s Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work.
Co-ordinating editors: Nicky Cullum and Jo Dumville
Each group produces systematic reviews of primary research to guide decision-making in their areas, and publishes these in the Cochrane Library.
Our reviews have resulted in the following successes:
- The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Programme Grant award for developing high priority reviews on hip fracture management.
- Health Technology Assessment report on scale and polish.
- NIHR Programme Grant award for high priority reviews in wound prevention and treatment.
